Rates vary.                                     Also, Practicing Member in Good Standing International Reiki Association  What is Reiki?                         Reiki(pronounced ray-key) is based on two Japanese words 'Rei' meaning universal or spiritual consciousness and 'Ki' meaning life energy. Reiki is an ancient, laying on of hands, healing modality that has been around for thousands of years. It is believed that Reiki was originally practiced by Buddhists in Tibet. As a fast growing holistic, gentle work process  Reiki safely promotes increased self awareness, relaxation, stress reduction and healing. Reiki always comes in the quantity needed for the greatest good of the receiver and for this reason Reiki cannot be misused. Reiki does not deplete the practitioner,who is a conduit for the energy, Reiki boosts the practitioner healing them as they give a session. It is for this reason I have chosen Reiki.    Dr. Mikao Kyoho Usui rediscovered Reiki while meditating in Japan on Mount Kurama. Dr.Usui opened a healing society under the name of Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho (Usui System of Reiki Healing). Reiki is spiritual in nature but not a religion. The average Reiki session is an individual experience promoting relaxation, balance and transformation. Reiki is a non-invasive technique which can be practiced hands on or with hands held above the body for those preferring not to be touched. The feelings of the client are always honored.
